In the vein of all the antigovernment protests at these town hall meetings, I have an idea. Why not give these people what they want?
We can free up some land. Maybe a whole state, say, Nevada or Utah or both! (Texas is prime territory for this, but you will see why I excluded it as you read on.)
Here's the deal. We establish Nevada and Utah as a free-for-all zone and all the anti-American types can set up shop there. Form their own government, do whatever they want. The remaining 48 states will set up a border around these states. Fortified to the gills with whatever we can muster. These people are on their own. No trade and certainly no aid. Their planes cannot fly over US airspace and they cannot leave their little enclave that they begged so much for. Of course, the US government will have to remove all traces of itself from these states and that will be done. Also, they will have to agree to let whoever wants out to leave within a time period agreed to by both sides, because after the deadline that will be the last time anyone who enters or stays will leave those areas.
I mentioned there will be no trade. There will be no trade. Not with the US or anyone else. No medical equiptment, no medicine, no food, no goods, no nothing, no kidding. See, these people are bent on the idea that they will do just fine without any help. I am just putting that into action. Sometimes, people need a little encouragment and to paraphrase one Missouri rep, there is no better encouragement than starvation and illness.
This is why I took Texas out of the offering. Texas has a long coast line and people can leave or come here and steal and murder and take our jobs.
Nevada and Utah were chosen because they have the least to offer culturally to the US right now. I know, we are giving up Bryce Canyon and Zion, but let the polygamists take it. And Nevada has Las Vegas which is nothing more than a trailer park with lights and every town has a trailer park and many states have gambling now. Hell, Atlantic City is more fun anyway.
This can happen people! This would be one grand experiment. Our own little Afghanistan that we can peek into at anytime. We can actually watch the collapse of a civilization before our eyes. Let the papers get written, the Nobels handed out...just remember where you got the idea ;)

Show Me The PROOF!
All the right-wing bat-shit crazies out there who have successfully duped otherwise decent people into threatening revolution over something you call "socialism" and "socialized medicine" I have one request from you...SHOW ME THE PROOF.
Prove your point. Do you even have that? Find in the legislation (proposed or otherwise) where it says they are going to socialize everything. SHOW ME! Especially on this health care business. Where in the legislation that is being argued before congress does it mention the elimination of insurance companies and the government will put everyone on the dole? Where is it?
You may dupe the low brows, but some of us want to see the money. Stop thinking dirty thoughts about Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin and do some hard work and prove your point. Otherwise, you get tossed into the same pile of folks that the good people of Iran are doing battle with right now.

This is getting crazy and not in the cool crazy way either. What happened to sensible debate? Yeah, I know. Both sides can blame the other for the collapse of that, but still...
On the news today (and I have been hearing it over and over and over for the past several weeks) some lady was talking about she wants the government completely out of her life. OK. Fine. We each have our own wants and this is what she wants so I say lets grant it to her. While we are at it, we will toss in how ever many people that feel the same way. There is a catch though...
I am not for socialized medicine and neither is my government. I know this because it has been stated over and over and over again it clear, simple to understand to anyone with a first grade education english. Foreigners who have limited english skills have even picked up on it. I am willing to bet that the people who are dosing out this anti socialist vibe are the same ones who want english as the official language of the US. Hey people, do not ask for something if you do not comprehend it!
I believe my president when he says single-payer health care is not happening in the US under his watch. Why? So far he has not given me any reason to not believe him. I am not here to debate the health care thing. It is like speaking to a wall to most people.
Oh, back to my plan about dealing with the no government people...
If you do not want any government in your life, that is your choice, however, those of us who do not mind a limited government have a few requests of you...
1. We paid for the streets and since you do not want to pay for them anymore (government spending) then you do not get to use them.
2. The government regulates (to varying degrees of success) food safety. So, you cannot share in the food supply readily available to all of us. Grow your own.
3. Take your kids out of school. Be it public or private. The government sets standards on education. They do not get to play in our world anymore. Your degree (if you have one on any level) is no longer valid.Re-read my paragraph to understand why.
4. If your house catches fire or you are robbed or assaulted, you cannot call the police or fire any more. You don't want to pay for it and I really do not want to pay anyone to save your ass from anything.
5. You lose all your identity. Birth certificates are issued by government agencies. As are drivers licenses (see #1.) Social Security cards (more later) and Passports to name a few. You lose all of them. So, your bank...ah, a good time for another...
6. Close your bank account. Bank accounts are insured by the federal government, so, you lose that option. Since you lose all your proof of identity, I guess that nullifies this argument.
7. You get to loose your utility service and do it yourself. My tax dollars pay for municipal upgrades to the "grid" and I am not paying for your TV anymore.
8. I guess you may as well quit your job since local and state governments as well as the federal government tax your income and the only way to live tax free is to make money panhandling, so grab your sign and pick a street corner.
9. Lose your car. This kind of ties into #1. The government sets safety standards that regulate how your car is made. That is government in your life and you want it out, so, no more car. Since you cannot drive on my roads anymore, you do not need one anyway. Do not walk either.
10. Since you dismiss all government interference in your life, then the Constitution of the United States of America no longer applies to you so...SHUT THE F__K UP!
This congress and administration was democratically elected by a majority of the people of this country back in november, 2008. Your horse did not win? To bad. Neither did mine. But I deal with it and accept it. That's life. We have another chance to change that next year. I want the Denver Broncos to win every superbowl, but well, that does not happen does it?
